Melissa Howell is an experienced communications professional with five years of experience in the non-profit sector. She joined the Ottawa Board of Trade in 2021 as Coordinator, Member Communications, and has served as Manager, Communications and Integrated Marketing since October 2026. Through her work at the Ottawa Board of Trade, she focuses on helping to connect and engage the local business community through effective storytelling and outreach.
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Trent University and a Public Relations diploma from Algonquin College.
Passionate about building community and sharing Ottawa’s story, Melissa enjoys exploring local bookstores, attending live music events, and listening to Taylor Swift in her free time.
