The Ottawa Board of Trade is proud to announce the launch of the Business Council of Ottawa, an emboldened, cross-sector coalition of executives committed to advancing the economic growth agenda of Canada’s Capital Region. This new Council builds on the foundation of the former CEO Council and reflects best practices from leading chambers in major Canadian cities.
We gratefully acknowledge the leadership of our founding council members; Bryce Conrad (Hydro Ottawa Group), Cyril Leeder (Ottawa Senators), Dave Walsh (KPMG Canada) , Devinder Gill (RBC), Mark Goudie (Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group), Susan Margles (Ottawa International Airport Authority), Mike Gladstone (Enbridge) and Mike McGahan (CLV Group). And thank you to OBOT Chair Brendan McGuinty and Vice Chair Hugh Gorman for championing this important initiative.
The Business Council of Ottawa will focus on accelerating key growth sectors, aligning priorities across all levels of government, and mobilizing private-sector leadership to drive long-term prosperity for the entire region. Over the coming year, the Council will grow to include OBOT’s top Pillar Partners and select executive leaders who share this ambition.
